God loves us so much that he calls us his children. Like a father who enjoys his Kid doing silly and naughty things. Does God ever laugh or enjoy like us? We have been created by his image but nowhere it is mentioned that God has a sense of humor. Is he that serious?

The Bible says that God rejoices over His children with "shouts of joy"... He "sings" over us... He "delights" in us... etc. How can you read the Scriptures and not see this? Also, if you want to know what the heart of God is like, look at Jesus. He laughed and cried with His disciples. God is not a kill-joy or joyless!

It doesn't mention that in the scriptures because they're probably talking about the weightier matters (you don't generally record small talk in a doctor's dessertation, even if the doctor has a very good sense of humor). However, God definitely has a sense of humor. I mean, he created us. Plus, I've had tons happen in my life which I know God laughed at. Just little things of fate that I was sure would never happen but did anyway. He loves us, as we are his children, and he definitely wants us to be happy. Why would he want something for us that he can't feel himself? You can't desire emotion for someone if you don't know what emotion is or how to feel it.

Yes, God , definitely has a sense of humor. I'm sorry that I can not give you verse and scripture but it is in the book of Psalms in several places where God laughs "at his enemies" or some type of foolishness. AND sense God said that we were made from his likeness, you can bet that humor is not a human invention. There is also a place in the bible that warns against HARSH jokes or something like that. I know I read it. Please study for yourself and you will see I am correct.

I look around at so many funny things in this world and have to say God must have a sense of humor. Surely we entertain Him upon occasion! I know He enjoys our fellowship with Him!

God is not a person, he is supernatural. Of course he laughs. If we are made in all ways like him, he must have given us His attributes. I'm sure that Jesus had a good time at weddings and celebrations, and eating outdoors around the bonfire, He must have had good times chatting with his buddies. He must have enjoyed himself when visiting relatives.
Surely, a God who loves so completely, must have room for fun and laughter.

What makes you think that this supposedly omniscient, all-powerful, invisible man in the sky is a PERSON? Is it simply easier to shrink God down into a convenient "superman" form while at the same time preaching that this same personification encompasses the entire unknowable universe?

How can that POSSIBLY be logical in any way?

This kind of thinking is one of the major reasons that God CANNOT exist anywhere but inside your mind!

I don't believe in God, but if there is one...he has a very refined, and often dark, sense of humor. I picture this cosmic. all powerful, Alfred E Neuman.

What, Me God?

are you not a part of him, created like him/her. then if you laugh this must be an attribute of his/her as well. dont distance yourself from god, assuming that this force is somewhere else far away. believe that he/she is within u and you can reach god as you contemplate more upon him/her. laughing is a great trait and it must be god given. I hope you find the kingdom of GOD that is within and live in laughter and love all your life.
