Is it normal to have a little leakage 3 days after surgery? I have it bandaged & have kept it dry. I have a spot on my bandage that is about the size of my pinky nail & is a light brown in color. I haven't looked at the wound yet as its hard for me to change my bandage & won't be able to get help until tomorrow. I can see the bandage, just can't move enough to change it. I don't have a temp.

I had laproscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder & the wound I'm talking about is around my belly button.

Leakage that small is most likely fine, if when you change the dressing you see yellow or purulent (pus- yahoo censors this as an adjective.. amusing) drainage or any foul odor make sure to call the doc. Only use what the doctor told you to use for your dressing changes, nothing else.

I am the right one to field this question...I have had seven major surgeries in the last two years and yes a little leakage is normal and is probably a good thing.. Keeps the wound cleaner but change the dressing more often then normal too because the leakage could irritate the skin around the dressing that covers your wound. Good Luck..

Bladder issues. She ought to make sure her GP as there are quite some issues which will be performed - with the exception of pelvic floor routines. a great number of girls human beings conflict through this problem in silence and they actually shouldn't, no longer on the prompt. i became in wellbeing facility for 5 days for bladder re-practise - no longer some thing invasive, I hasten to characteristic. I had an excellent time and that i laughed the entire time - without peeing myself - and the Sister in cost became actually impressive. No hoity-toity motives - in simple terms immediately down-to-earth communicate. The stay in wellbeing facility became adverse to having as a lot as ten diverse appointments, because I lived truly a distance from the wellbeing facility. tell your chum to get herself looked after quickly. reliable success.

Yes this is normal.....don't worry about it. After you change your bandage, it clean it like 3 times a day with hydrogen peroxide. It all seems fine so far......best of luck to you.
