I'm 15 and am going to be getting braces for the second time next month. I'm getting ceramic braces and I want them to be the least noticable that they can be. Has anyone had ceramic braces with clear or white bands? Would you recommend clear or white?

I thought white ones might make my teeth look whiter from a distance, but may look bad up close because my teeth aren't as bright as they are.

Thank you very much in advanced!

I have ceramic braces now, and i used to work at the orthodontist and i could change mine whenever i wanted when they stained...now that im away at college i cant. Get the clear ones, but if your orthodontist has glow in the dark get those because they stain less. also you can use listerine whitening to help reduce the staining.

Also watch what you eat. if you eat something with mustard you need to counteract the yellow with something with a red tint to cause less staining. i started ordering food without mustard and i try to eat pizza and spaghetti less since the red stains.
hope this helps

Clear or white. The clear ones stain, but the white ones are more obvious.

I THINK YOU WILL BE BETTER WITH THE CLEAR ONE, IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO BE NOTICED,AS THEY WILL BLEND IN BETTER. MY GRAN-DAUGHTER HAS SOME WITH FLOWERS ON AND THEY LOOK VERY SWEET.NOBODY MINDS HAVING BRACES NOW,SO DONT WORRY ABOUT THEM BEING NOTICED.
