I would go to your local seamtress because that can be very tricky.

I would recommend talking to a seamstress, as this is not always doable depending on the style of the dress and how much give there is in the seams. Depending on where you need it let out is it not possible to use undergarments to fix the problem? It doesnt look like you need a lot of extra space, if it is the bust try a better bra if it is the waist try a merry widow or a sexy corset or long line bra, you don't have to use a girdle which isnt always so sexy but if you dont mind there is that option also. You might wnat to try those first before using a seamstress. I have known women who took pictures in their lingerie as they were getting into their gown and the photos were a very romantic addition.

If it has very generous seams. Most garments that I've seen have a 5/8 inch seam, so if this gown is like that, you can't make it bigger.

Remember, if you let it out, you still need enough allowance for the new sewing. You don't want it sewn right on the very edge. Too easy for it to rip apart.

You need to take it to a seamstress and ask her opinion. It might be possible for her to do some fantastic little tricks with her needle too.

It depends on how much seam allowance you have where you need it. You'd need AT LEAST 1" in each seam--that would give you a little to let out. It's always better to get the dress larger than smaller, because it's so much easier to take something in than to let it out!

check the seams most dresses will have a couple inches of fabric left when they sew the seams together. I had to let mine out a bit when I got married.

not without adding material. it might be easier and better looking if you made yourself 1 to 1.5 inches smaller.
