It's meant to help pass the food through so you loose weight faster, or something a log those lines. I don't know how much you're supposed to drink, but I once tried about 6 pint glasses in a day and was just peeing the whole time so, I guess if that's what you're after...?

it is good to drink water no matter what, water is your body's cooling system, it helps keep you bowls moving, it cleans your blood, keeps your skin moisturised and plump.
very often when people have hanger pangs it is because they are in fact thirsty, so when dieting you may think you are hungry but you could just be thirsty...
sparkling water ( i have heard ) helps suppress cravings for sweet things..but don't quote me on that.
you should drink 2 litres a day

if you are not to much over weight then you need 6 to 8 glasses of water a day (8oz) but if you are extremely over weight you will need at least 10 glasses a day. good luck....
also drinking what helps to get rid of fat
