I have a Compaq V2000 with 512 MB memory and a 60 GB hard drive and an Intel Celeron M processor with a speed of 1.3 GHz. I don't know the best version of Vista to get for it.

i wouldnt recommend getting vista for that laptop. celeron M's are not powerful enough to load vista, and 512MB is very low for what they recommend.

vista ultimate (top of the line) takes 12GB of space just for itself, and on a 60GB hard drive your not left with very much.

not to gloat or anything, but i own a custom built computer, with a 2.4ghz dual core, 2gb of ram, and a 250Gb hard drive (just to compare to your specs) and vista ultimate is almost smooth, but not there yet.
