My bf is graduating a year ahead of me and he is entering finance (investment banker - analyst) which means he'll probably never have time to visit me or anything. i need a lot of time and attention in relationships, but I don't want to leave him because we're in love and might have a future together. should i let him go knowing the stress of being apart might ruin the relationship faster? plus, i have plans of my own, to enter grad school...

hmm i don't think it's about being selfish at all... i think a couple only really works when both sides are satisfied so it's smart that ur asking this question, obviously i dunno all the details of the situation... i think u guys should just make a plan together and see how well it works out, or maybe plan to break up! it's all about planning...

OK lets try not being selfish...once a couple gets married and has jobs there isn't time to give as you said "a lot of attention". You find time for each other when you can..it's give and take in a relationship. What are you going to do when you get married and your hubby gets transferred to the graveyard shift are you going you going to leave him because he's not going yo be able to give you a lot of attention.

Considering that you're about to go to grad school, your relationship shouldn't be your main worry. Take it as it comes and focus on your career. (That goes for him, too.)
