God supposedly knows all before it even happens. Our lives our destined to certain things only God knows before they are done. Why would he leave a "tree of sin" in their garden and expect them not to give in to temptation? Sure the serpent helped, but God should have known this was to happen. Was he not watching them like he is said to be doing all the time? Watching everyone at all times of the day and night. The sin of Adam and Eve would affect us all today in present time and in the future. No one can no longer be born innocent. It’s not fair that their mistake in their lifetime should cause us sin in our lifetime many years later. If God had prevented the tree from the Eden, then maybe our society could be pure. Why would he leave the tree of knowledge for Adam and Eve to sin with in the Garden of Eden?

You mean it is not fair that God gives you a choice and responsibility? You want to be programmed but then out of the other side of your mouth will you complain God doesn't give you freedom?

Because the things that are important to you are not all-important we tend to look at things from a selfish self centered point of view instead of reverencing God. In order to understand anything in the bibe it helps to start from the position that God is God you are not.
In addition God is not limited as we are and so there is always hope with him and salvation as we see in the resurrection and promises offered to us who obey. So God has a plan in place that is larger than your persoanl life but includes it, so we must first humble ourselves before God and know that the purpose of the world is not about us and what we want or think or feel but God.

It's an interesting idea, but think of it this way.

Todays parents are doing a disservice to their children. They are trying to prevent anything, and I do mean anything, bad from happening to their children. There is this almost hysterical worry, that if the child leaves the house in anything less than an Anime Robot mecha, then the child will fall, skin a knee, and might get a boo-boo.

But, falling and getting a boo-boo is a necessary part of growing up, making mistakes, failing, all these things are a part of growing up...from pain, from failing, these things teach.

What doesn't destroy, makes a creature stronger.

So, in a sense, the tree was left there. Adam and Eve made a decision. No matter which decision they made, there were consequences for all of us...but that's the way everything always is, there are always consequences to every decision..

If you don't let someone fall, then they never realize they have the strength to stand back up...

God knew. He also knew that without choice love has no meaning. The tree was Adam and Eve's test of choice. One tree out of the entire garden of Eden and they couldn't leave it alone. The nature of sin has not changed. Sin has severe consequences not just for the sinner but for all those around him, family, friends, society. We complain about Adam and Eve's sin because it effected everyone that came after them since we are related to them as the human family but our own sins have the same repercussions. We just don't see (just as they did not see) the depth of the damage.

Probably because the Adam & Eve story is a figment of somebody's imagination. It's a story with a lesson on morality. Not to be taken seriously.
There is no seperation between God and the devil. God created the devil knowing what he would become, and knowing what would happen as a result of his transformation. Everything in existence as we know it is an extension of God's infinite consciousness. I think it's funny that people still believe in these cute little bible stories. They're great lessons to be learned, but that's about it. I give God way more credit then the bible does.

It is not a literal tree. The meaning of it is that man decided that he could make up his own decision about what is good and evil.

God created everything for the good of all but man at some point decided to eat of the tree so to speak. Things were created with specific purposes. If we use them according to these purposes then we are using them according to God's Will, the way God intended it to begin with.

If we don't but use them for selfish reasons we create karma/sin that will stay with us until we have learned the lesson for this sin/karma.

Because God gave Adam & Eve a freedom of choice with a free will and trust to obey or disobey Him.

God knows all. doesn't mean He doesn't allow us to make choices. that tree was there as an obedience test. obviously mankind had the desire to be different than they were (Adam and Eve didn't know good from evil), as Eve had the desire to take the fruit, she only gave into what the serpant said. And then Adam didn't want to feel like an outcast and gave into his desires as well, and ate.

who knows, maybe God wanted to teach them self control first and then let them eat.

God gave Adam and Eve a brain to think with and also gave them a rule of what they could have and not have. So it was up to Adam and Eve to use their God given brain to decide for themselves what they wanted to do. God trusted them to make the right decision, but they disobeyed Him and were punished.

God knew that this would happen, yet we all have free will. He granted us with free will, and he cannot manipulate our minds to do the right thing. Yes, what Adam and Eve did wasn't the best choice, but it is always OUR choice to follow their path of sin.

Multiply it by infinity, and take it to the depth of forever, and you will still have barely a glimpse of what I'm talking about.
If there was a God, he presides over all space and time. Countless scenarios and time line. In this one Adams eats the Apple.
I don't know. This story might just be a fabrication.
