Depends totally on the person ur asking, ur mood n the place. For most people an indication towars the wrist with any question(even sumthing else said under your breath) would suffice.

say "excuse me do you have the time?" and tap your wrist as you do it. hopefully you'll ask flavor flav and he'll be all like "yeeeeaaaah booooooyyyyyy! its a quarter after 5"
