low saturated fats, low simple carbohydrates, daily exercise. eat breakfast every day, drink plenty of water, don't eat after dinnertime. eat plenty of vegetables that grow above the ground (so few potatoes--emphasize the green leafy veggies). i've tried a hundred diets and this is the only way i've been successful--have kept off 80lb for more than 10 years. fast weight loss never results in lasting results--take your time, do it right and you'll be happy with the results. also, weigh yourself daily--i think the constant feedback is essential in self-monitoring. check out the national weight control registry http://www.nwcr.ws/ for tips common to long-term weight losers. good luck to you!

Huh? I'm not sure what you are planning here.
You could conceivably lose 30 pounds in 3 to 6 months. Considering that you probably took more than 6 months to put ON the 30 pounds, this would be fast.
You don't want to hear this, but the answer is Eat Right, and Exercise. This is the only method proven to work. Sorry that you don't want to hear this, but tough. Start with a well-balanced, calorie restricted diet. Look at eating whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meat, and low-fat dairy. Now, keep this within a reduced range, probably around 1500 calories a day (definately more than 1200 to prevent starvation mode). To see better results, you need to exercise too. Work on trying to exercise 30 minutes, 3 times a week. Don't worry on intensity - work on the habit. Once you are adjusted to this, you can gradually build up your workouts.
There is a fundamental problem to your question. You are focusing on the weight, not on how the weight got there. Unless you address the unhealthy habits that caused you to gain weight in the first place, you will never find a permanant solution to your weight problem. Fix the unhealthy habits, change them into healthy habits, and you will never have this problem again.

if you want to lose weight, improve your health generally, and have more energy then getting some nutritional help is vital. Once your body starts to absorb the right nutrients and vitamins and protein then you’ll be amazed how quickly you will feel the difference, usually within the first 48 hours if you get the right supplements and help. I had no energy and felt just generally rotten all round so I sought the advice of a nutritional coach (whose advice was FREE) and got myself some great products, I even got free samples before I got started so I could see just how good they were!! There is a website called myhealthabc.com If go on there and fill out the details page you will get a call with no pressure about what you need. There is a mall area as well that’s got some great info and its all set out with easy to follow headings so you can find what you want. It’s so easy and the stuff they have is excellent. I have been using their products for over two years and I feel great. I lost 70 pounds in less than seven months!! My sister lost 60 pounds in five months. I would definitely recommend these guys, they really know their stuff.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!

How fast?
Eat nothing but steamed brown rice, drink nothing but water and take a one-a-day vitamin pill. After the first few days the fat will melt away quickly.
This is a healthy, non-dangerous way to lose weight quickly, but it soon becomes VERY boring. Don't cheat by eating & drinking other stuff or it won't work.
If you're sedentary, you should also walk at least 30 minutes briskly each day. If you can't spare the time to do that, you must not want to lose that weight very badly after all.

Sorry to say this, but you already know the answers. You can't lose 30 pounds in a short amount of time. It takes time and effort to lose weight. Don't kid yourself into thinking there's some sort of easy shortcut.

One would have to go on a crash diet with perhaps water and vegetable and fruits only. A doctor would have to assess your physical health first to be sure you are in the best of health.
