should i just put food iin my hand and let hime eat it??

most parakeets don't really eat out of people's hands, im not shure y. i hold a spray of millet in my hand, and after a wile they eat it. i only give it to them when they are out of the cage, so that gives them something to look forward to comeing out for! (that might help with your last question)

Keeping your hand and the rest of yourself still is the primary point to remember. Good food and a hungry bird can also help.

yes. hold the bird alot and give it spinich or dandilion. they will eat micro size pieces.
