okay, so... i don't know if Im just being paranoid, but here it goes:
This morning I was at work (a bakery), and I rang someone up and was taking there money and got their money in my hand and I relized it had a spot of blood on it, and then I looked at there hand and it had blood on it. Not a ton of blood, but a good amount like they had a cut or something. I didn't want to be rude, the guy was really nice, so I just took his money and set it under the counter, and then immediately washed my hands, with soap and hot water. I was the only one there at the time, when the owner came in, I told her and we cleaned everything he might of touched and so on. but now I am really paranoid that I got some disease from him? Besides the usual itty, bitty cuticle/sores that everyone has, I had a paper cut on my palm. but it was from yesterday, its not really an "open sore". any way, I know its too late to do much, what would you guys do? do you think I am ok? thank you!

you did the right thing by washing your hands and cleaning up. Now, you should probably put it out of your mind. while it is possible to be infected with a blood-borne disease that way, it usually has to be a lot more blood and a larger cut, or needle stick.

With a day old cut, and your caution i doubt there was any blood transfusion between the two of you..so don't worry.
I'm like that as well, whenever I find blood or cuts on my hands and realize I've been touching all sorts of things I tottally freak out.
I even went and got HIV tested once when the nurses and doctors thought I was absurd bc I had absolutely no reason to get tested-- but it gave me peace of mind!
If it makes you feel better, get a blood test, bc if you're anything like me no matter how much research you do into it by asking questions you'll never truly be relaxed until you know you didn't contract anything.

This time you were conscience of what you came in contact with. I am sure many doctors will agree that all of us come in contact with those fluids many times in our lives without realizing it. You washed your hands. That is good. If you want some peace of mind, go to your local health department and get tested. Keep the date on your calendar just in case. I think talking to a health worker will ease your mind. They come in contact with these things everyday.

I believe you've done enough to avoid any health problem and should stop being worried.
I come in contact with blood several times a day in my business and immediately take care of myself and I don't worry any longer.
Being cautious is smart, (you did) but over acting can make life miserable, it's not worh it.
