Auctions are good, but you'll usually have to bring a letter from the bank saying you're good for a purchase. Look up a restaurant supply place in your area. Go there and ask to see their back room. That's where they keep all the stuff they buy at restaurant going out of business auctions. There are tons of stuff in those back warehouses.

Check the newspapers for restaurants going out of business. They'll be wanting to get rid of their equipment for good prices.
