Im wanting to go somewhere in America or Canada, in July/August this year, but dont really care where - once Im there, ill have a look round and move on. I want a list of flight prices, by date, so I can choose where to go, and see how much it will be. Only problem is, the sites i find, you have to choose specific date, and get a price, then do the next date and then the next....HELP!

That is because there is no such list of what you seek. No list of various cities and prices, etc. The reason you need to put in a specific date is with every date the price can change. This is because prices change due to advance purchase, availability, season, supply and demand, etc.

The only way you are going to know is by searching. You can call an agent and give them say a few places you are thinking and off the top of there head they might know of which cities might price lower, but if you call and say I can go anywhere in the US or Canada in July or Aug. prepare for an answer of I'm sorry, but you have to have an idea of what you want to do.

If you have flexibility great. Narrow down the city, work with an agent and if you find a good one they know if it is a good price or if you change your date by a day or two then you can get a better rate.

By the way, agents charge a nominal service fee usually. Please don't contact one for there information only to try and then do it on your own to potentially save a service fee. It isn't very considerate asking one to do a lot of work for you to save you time only to waste there's. That is why many agents DO charge the service fee because we do save you time. Again this does depend on you finding a good knowledgeable agent.

Good Luck

You don't say where you live. In England most of the airlines give you a chart with the prices for each day, so you can pick the cheapest if you are not worried about the date of travel.

I think you need Travelocity's Dream Maps. http://dps1.travelocity.com/dreamMap.ctl?Service=TRAVELOCITY You can adjust your departure city where it says "Modify Map", then choose your budget and arrival region, and it shows all cities with fares in that range.
