Pull-ups. The problem most people have, physically, are the pull-ups. the running will get better and you'll weight whether you want to or not. I was fat when I when in, 225 at 6'1, and got out of boot camp at 185. Good luck and Semper Fi.

You've got enough information on dieting and exercising... One thing I can't let pass, though.... In the Marine Corps, it's called "Boot Camp".... not, NOT "Basic Training"....

Don't worry about the diet as much as getting your body ready. Do hundreds of push ups and sit ups each day. Run everywhere and often.
