Let say that in your logic, God does exist.

Then he appeared in front of you.

THEN would you believe he exist....or would you think you've gone insane?

Or you think it was a UFO,

or you think you smoked some weeds,

or you think it was a prank,

or you think (Etc.)

...wait, what? I was just asking your opinion. o_O

Sheesh. The nerve of some people accusing me of untrue things.

It depends on the vision. Yes, I would question my mental state and try to eliminate that from the equation. I'm not sure what kind of "weeds" would make me see God, since pot, mushrooms or acid never did. UFO, nah. Maybe an alien, since we all assume aliens have much better technology than us, so they could create some interesting phenomena and visual effects. A prank? That'd be one hell of an expensive prank. If I could eliminate all those other possibilities (psychological being the main one), and if the vision was truly convincing and real, then, yeah.

....... I'd probably think it was an alien or something. Because even somethings appearance isn't enough. And technology much more advanced than ours can explain just about anything. Lets put it this way.... if a caveman were to be standing there, he'd think we were gods, or he'd attack, because we can do things that a caveman would consider supernatural.

Think about it.

If he appeared and could demonstrate his godhood, I'd believe.

Isn't the better question "Believers, since God Himself never appeared in front of you*, why do you believe He exists?".

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

* Don't bother lying. Saying "He DOES appear in front of me" simply demonstrates that you're willing to lie to save your pride.

i know EXACTLY what youre thinking and it wouldnt take me long to look up the scripture that you are doing this ground breaking research in. but ill answer anyway

yeah, if God apeared in front of me id probably be astonished at first and question whether it was real. afterall, at the moment im not too sure i believe in god (DEFINATLY NOT the God of ANY religion). but if he were to stay and talk to me and let me see and touch him or even just let me ask him/her/it questions then i would definatly believe in God. and if that God didnt turn out to be insane id probably do whatever he/she/it asked me to.

listen my friend. this goes to show another passage in the bible that is false. the bible is just too wrong about everything to be true.

I think my first reaction would be to test the validity of his claims. Then someone I trust would have to validate my findings. Then, and only then if it was trully God appearing before me and many other rational, intelligent people saw it too, I might think about doing my science class project on him.

What "god"? Prove one exists first.

Your hypothetical hypotheism is hypocritical in the absence of facts.

I would honestly have to question my sanity at first. If I didnt then every psychotic is equally valid in saying their delusions are real.

I know what you are getting at and yes I would honestly believe if he showed himself.

He'd have to show me evidence he's God and how he logically exists.
