Should I be feeling bad right now? (height)?

i am five feet six. after browsing previous questions, i see that there are many girls who are taller than me. But as a chinese, it's a bit weird. chinese over here are shoort. especially the boys. i always evaluate myself to tohers when i'm in school, and i feel like i'm too tall... is five feet six too tall for a fifteen year old?

Don't be concerned about something you can't change. People are different. That is what makes us human.We are all unique. Take your height as a blessing. Consider it a gift. learn how to use it to your advantage. Something will happen that will make it valuable for you. Even if most Chinese guys are short, not all are. You will find the right person. Be patient. Also believe in yourself. Focus on your good qualities and let them shine through. Others will see this in you.
Also don't compare yourself to others as an absolute standard. You should compare yourself to what you are capable of. Use others to motivate you to "reach" higher goals. See there, a reason to be taller. Ha.

In a book I read a while back (Ayn Rand's "Anthem"), the main character was denigrated by his peers because he was taller than they were. He finally left his peer group because they were, in a word, ignorant. You are you; there's not much you can do to change your physical attributes, unless you try surgery. So the best thing you can do is be proud of who you are, tall or not. Compare yourself to who YOU want to be, not who others want you to be.
