My kitten is around 5 months old. I'm not exactly sure. She is constantly crying around the house and she won't leave the family alone. When she gets picked up, she moves her lower end. She also has a clearish liquid coming out of her rear end. Is she in heat? And could I have some advice please? Thanks.

she might be in her first heat. she may have come in early-- average age is 6 months but it is heat 'season' right now-- i have seen 5 month old kittens in heat. they will also act loving at times and rub all over you-- crying at times and rolling around the floor.
---
female cats will remain in heat UNTIL they mate-- which the mating process and the spines or barbs on the males penis (stimulates pain) and causes the female to ovulate -- once they ovulate the heat is over (and the only way to ovulate is to mate in cats).
however i do NOT suggest she mate-- instead- if you get her spayed it will eliminate the hormones.
** But i would definately ask the vet if they are 'comfortable' doing a spay when the cat is in heat as it can be more risky. Some vets at 'low cost" high volume spay clinics do them ALL DAY IN HIGH numbers so they may say they are MORE comforatble doing it at this time. If not, you might have to wait it out. please ask the vet who will preform the surgery.

5 months, you say? yup. She's in heat. Don't let her outside or you will have more kittens. If you get her spayed during her heat cycle, the vet bill will be higher because there will be more blood in the ovaries for them to deal with.

Get her to the vet now!!!!!!!!!! And spay her immediately!!!!!!!!! Any liquid coming out of the back end that isn't bloody (while in heat), or brown (poop) is cause for concern. Even blood or poop is cause for concern anyway. Get her seen!!!!!!
