Where the hell do some of these idiots get their information?
If you use mouthwash before a Breathalyzer....it shoots through the roof....IT HAS ALCOHOL IN IT STUPID!
Same goes for SOME breath mints and breath sprays..loaded with alcohol. Lots of minty stuff is alcohol based
I can tell you from experience(and also knowing a few cops) The only thing that helps you pass a Breathalyzer is DON'T DRINK. ANY booze in your system will show....no matter what you eat or drink. The only thing that lowers your alcohol levels is time. PERIOD
Sorry folks....no magic wand....

It makes no difference what you eat, apart from food laced with alcohol of course, whilst drinking alcohol, the results will always be the same. IE:if you were over the limit then your over the limit but certain drugs and over the counter medicines can effect the outcome of a breathalyser test though.
Oh and if your going to claim your innocence due to consuming twenty Sherry trifles and not realising it would put you over the limit then ignorance is not a defence in a court of law.
All the best,

Lower. Because food absorbers some of the alcohol. But it is still a bad idea to drive a car if you've been drinking even though you have eaten food!

Breathalyzer levels of alcohol,
will remain the same
Unless you have eaten some starchy food,( pasta, bread etc)
at least an hour, before, you drank the alcohol,
That will help to reduce the absorption rate ,.
A glass of cold milk , helps with the smell
and a good quality mouth wash, will disguise it even further.
DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE
Then, there will be no worries about Breathalyzers
and you can enjoy yourself .

As Alcohol is absorbed by the body quite readily your previous in take of food will definetly take a lot longer to metabolise . Hence if you you drank while you were eating you and you would score lower on breathalise test than if you drank alcohol at the end of your meal.
Some people drink a couple of glasses of water before they intend to drive as this too washes lingering smells and alcohol residue etc

The only thing that masks alcohol is mouth wash and oonly is taken 2 seconds before the breathalizer is given
problem is it actually increases the number of the breathalizer to an outragous amount
then they just retest you and see the real amount of alcohol

The food will make no difference. Both chewing gum and smoking can affect a breathalyser reading though!!
