Doubtful. It is too easy for us to simply 'look the other way' when these people are getting weapons in the middle east.

The fact of the matter is that Iran has had several internal stability problems that have been getting worse over time.

In East Iran there are well-organized (and well-armed) smuggling gangs. In Northern Iran there are Kurds who the the Iranian government has treated poorly. And then along the Persian Gulf the Iranians have Sunni minorities who have been subject to repression and mistreatment for years.

In the cities there are the educated populations who have issues with what they see as an intolerant and corrupt government that has had spectacularly stupid foreign policies.

Iran has enough problems that the US does not have to arm insurgents.

How about you investigate the private armies of GWB and family? When Bush wants to push his issues, he manufactures a crisis using his private army. (They're civilians and therefore not under the direction of our Joint Chiefs of Staff).

The only way we're going to stop this man is to get him out of office and to ride herd on all our elected officials. We should not TRUST our GOVERNMENT whatsoever and should question every move they make. We should all write to our congressmen and senators and elected officals and demand that they answer direct questions and read and understand every piece of proposed legislation they intend to pass or even vote upon. If they don't know the answers, then they don't belong in office!
