A high five is a very cute trick!
My neighbor's cat will go outside for a while, and when it gets home, it will stand on it's hind legs and ring the doorbell. When I was a kid, I had a cat that fetched.

That's cool.
Of my 4 cats, only 1 does anything really like a trick. Mr. Milo will carry his ball to me so I can roll it down the stairs. He carries it back up and drops it at my feet and meows. He can go for hours and I always tire before he does.
He prefers a blue ball to the others so maybe if I work with him enough I'll be able to say get the blue ball and he will carry it up the stairs to the amazement of my friends. Do you think I'll be able to use his skills to get chicks? LOL

That's cute!
My cats all know how to 'sit', and to come when I call them by name. They can hear a can opening from anywhere in the house, even if they're sound asleep. One of them can open doors, by turning the knob and pulling the door open with his claws.
I'm thinking of trying clicker training for them (http://www.clickertraining.com/cattraining), but it's difficult because I have 4 cats and would have to separate them to do it. Clicker training needs to be done one-on-one. Their ages are 11 years, 13 years, 13 years, and 19 years. They're all still very active and playful.

I have 2 cats, a 1 year old & a 3 month old kitten. They are both Maine Coons & they both love to play fetch. The older one gives kisses if you say "Give kisses", she puts her pursed lips up to your lips. Also, when you pat her head & say "up", she stands up on her hind legs. They are a lot of fun!!

Jump, meow, scratch, call name, come, stay, attack, back flip, high-five, roll-over, leave it.
But in order to make them do a trick. Have some cat treats with you.

when i am about to feed my cat (cats are easy to train with food-rewards) i wave both of my hands... and my cat sits up on both hind feet reaches his paws in the air and waves them above his head (like little white maltese dogs often do). its really cute.

my cat plays fetch with a stumpy makeup brush and he won't let anyone anywhere near it until he's put it in a shoe lol! If there are no shoes around for him to put it in, he will sit with the brush in his mouth and growl until you give him a shoe! We also have fluffy balls with bells inside and if you bounce one off the wall he will chase it and do a backflip.

We had a grey cat that would "sing" to us when we sang to her. She also loved it when my kids played the flute. She would jump up in front of them and meow to the music! What a talented cat. It hurts me to think of her gone now for 2 years. I miss her terribly.
