It depends. The FDA has approved some. I think they are for really obese people not just those needed to lose a few pounds. Many contain caffiene and other stimulants that speed up the heartrate, which can be dangerous.

I was severly addicted to diet pills for about a year...lost weight...came off of them...and gained it all back..now I am trying to lose the eight the healthy way and its really hard for me. so dont take them....but I do reccomend Womens One a day weight smart vitamin..they are WONDERFUL and help you to feel fuller faster...just make sure you eat with it or you are going to be ILL...but they work for me :) and I'm not tired all the time and I want to work out

No. Bad for your heart and you will eat more when you stop taking them, at which point your body will be used to storing the energy (calories) because you havn't been eating regularly. You will not burn the extra calories as easily. You will conserve them as fat.

It you take it for a short period of time it may be okay. Too much extreme fast heart beat is not good for the human soul.

it depends on the individual, their level of knowledge and how in tune with there body they are. there are many misunderstandings in the use of most supplements including diet pills. when used safely they can be of benefit.
