To those born of God, there is one Faith. Faith in One God, One Lord, One Spirit, and One Church of Christ. Trust & obey, there is no other way to be happy in Jesus is to trust & obey.

Faiths and beliefs always change as we develop. For example firstly we believe in tooth fairy and then we change our belief. There is a contiunous change of beliefs and faith at the level of the whole world and also for every person. Even religions have kept the same name but they have transformed throughout the time. Time and context has also changed. Anyway if there is a right faith then everyone should have a chance to it and that means that some will have to change the faith in which they were born. By the way who says the faith in which one is born is that one's faith? It is the faith of that society or parents but everyone has to have a choice. You may give up one faith or another, but make sure that you don't give up values and virtues. Instead while progressing keep on adding more and more virtues and values in your practical life. That is called spirituality and is common to most of the religious faith and beliefs.

We should try to stick to one faith only, unless you find lot of discrapancies in the faith you are following. i.e. for some reasons your faith gets shaken. or , you fall in love with a person of another faith and want to marry. With a family you need to follow one faith instead of two. It is easier. not that one faith is better than the other. All faiths are almost the same. They believe in the Divine and have the healing touch.

Some things will surely be discarded in any case. A person should follow what he really believes, not out of loyalty, but out of conviction. Often when one converts to a new faith, the tendancy is to give up anything that even smells of the former faith. However, with time, that person will often be able to absorb some of the good things he learned in his former belief, applying them in a new way.

Introduction to Bhagavad-gita-As-It-Is, by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON.

Yet man professes to belong to a particular type of faith with reference to particular time and circumstance and thus claims to be a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or any other sect. Such designations are non-sanatana-dharma. A Hindu may change his faith to become a Muslim, or a Muslim may change his faith to become a Hindu, or a Christian may change his faith and so on. But in all circumstances the change of religious faith does not effect the eternal occupation of rendering service to others. The Hindu, Muslim or Christian in all circumstances is servant of someone. Thus, to profess a particular type of sect is not to profess one’s sanatana-dharma. The rendering of service is sanatana-dharma.

Factually we are related to the Supreme Lord in service. The Supreme Lord is the supreme enjoyer, and we living entities are His servitors. We are created for His enjoyment, and if we participate in that eternal enjoyment with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we become happy. We cannot become happy otherwise. It is not possible to be happy independently, just as no one part of the body can be happy without cooperating with the stomach. It is not possible for the living entity to be happy without rendering transcendental loving service unto the Supreme Lord.

True faith in Scriptures does not allow the addition of other things. Any addition corrupts it, and makes it a heathen religion. If you discover error in the body of understanding you were taught, you should go the the Good Teacher for Truth. (He is the Truth)

i think that's stupid, bcoz giving up faith doesn't makes any better humans or it gives us any benefit, but we can collect good knowledge from the new faith to the knowledge we already posses.

Faith is wishful thinking. Give it all up. Religions are just organized superstition.

Trust reason, not faith.

Yes, if the one that you are giving up is not according to the word of God. I have done it, but before I did I made sure and search the Word with a fine tooth comb, before I did.

There is ONLY ONE FAITH, & That is that of the Apostles. If we are in their teachings, then I say no, If we are not, I will then say yes, & take the teachings of the Apostles, & live by it, because that is the only thing that will get you through.
