My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 4 months, and here lately we have been unsepertable. His parents are divorced, and his mom lives in a different town. He is supposed to be at his moms every other weekend. But he hasn't been up there in 7 weeks. He's either been with me or at a wrestling tournament. I had to beg him to go see her this weekend. Do you think it would be a good idea if I don't talk to him while he's with her? Like whenever he calls maybe only talk for a minute or two? Because it is starting to seem as if we are Extremely dependent of each other.

Don't get me wrong, I love all the time we spend together, but I think we both just need to spend time with people other than each other, and not spend the time we have with our friends on the fone

Yes, it is a good idea to not call him while he is spending time with his mother. I am glad to hear that you are trying to not take up all his time so he can with his family. Has he introduced you to his mother yet??? If not, you could try and find something that you all would like to do together (If you really dont like being away from him) but not the whole weekend though. You really should not be that dependent on each other that soon in a relationship. Another thing you could do is just have him call you at the end of the day, like right before you go to sleep and talk to him till you go to sleep.

Definitely a good idea. If he's been spending all his time with you he needs some time with others- even his mom. Good call.

talking to him has nothing to do with you and him being dependent each other he may think you are trying to get rid of him if you only talk to him a minute
