I absolutely believe in love at first sight. I have all of my life. And when I met my husband, I knew the first time I ever saw him that he was the one for me. Six years later we are happier than ever and still going strong.

I think an attraction can occur not only on the physical side but also an emotional, spiritual and mental side. That attraction can be very strong, causing people to think it's love. There is a lot more to love, meeting, bonding and so on than one thinks. I think a lot happens on a spiritual level that we are not aware of. Love at first sight can be lust, but it can also deepen over time into something spectacular and solid- true love. My mother knew my father would be her husband when she first saw him, even before she knew his name. She just knew. I believe that future 'soulmates' can recognize each other if the time is right but it doens't happen often. This recognition will not be physical, it will be on a much higher level. This is real "love at first sight" but it still needs to be tested by time and circumstance. The rest is just lust at first sight, I would say.

Nope. There's an attraction at the first sight. Love is something that comes after you've spent time together and feelings are actually accumulated.

It's LUST at first sight... not love.

Love is more mature than that. It develops over time when you get to know who the person is.

My boyfriend said he instantly loved me when he first saw a picture of me. I don't believe that. It was lust.

Over time, it developed into LOVE. We've been together for a year now.

Those who say it's happened to them just wants to BELIEVE it's happened to them. Of course it sounds nice saying, "It was love at first sight the moment I saw him... We've been married for 30 years now." But... lol... it's not true. Like I said, love develops over time.

Love has many different meanings/feelings, therefor there are many different kinds of loving feelings, and these feelings/meanings develop in different ways as time goes by,
