Because the contain lots of fat, sugar, and/or salt.
Fat makes things taste more strongly - i.e. it brings out the flavors. Sugar and salt are both things we're designed by nature to crave.
Unhealthy foods taste so good because they basically "overdose2 our taste buds - giving them exactly what they're designed to crave, and lots of it.

I enjoy really yummy *low fat* pizzas and burgers! They are low in calories and low in fat, but they still taste very good. You can always choose the more healthy burgers and pizza rather than the ones loaded with grease.
You can buy Bocca Veggie Burgers in Wal Mart, they tatste great. You can put them on a whole wheat bun, instead of a white bread bun and make it even healthier and filling to the tummy.
And you can get Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine pizzas, and they taste great. (i had one for lunch today!) YUM.
Go ahead and have the *sinful* tasting food without actually sinning! lol
Take Care

When we were hunter-gatherers, there was almost no such thing as food security. Our metabolisms are hard-wired to make us lust after energy-rich fatty foods, because those things lead to feeling full quickly, and release energy to the body over a longer period of time than carbs.
We also like salty foods most likely for the same reason. The body needs salt, and until humans learned how to evaporate it out of seawater, we had to stumble upon rock salt in the wild.

One of the reasons, is that they are purposely marketed to be as cheap to fix and as tasty as possible to make money.
The other reason is, that most of them are loaded with sodium, which most of us have been trained into liking. Give a baby some salt, and he or she will not like it. We teach ourselves to be addicted to salt, and therefore, we like everything that is salty.
There is already enough sodium in the foods we eat, most of us don't need any extra. Once you break the salt habit, the foods won't be tasty anymore, just too salty.

all of the sugar, oils, SALT, grease, and extra calories just really have a certain zing that "we" like. i mean reallly...if u were being starved would you opt for a salad with ranch dressing....or a big juicy steak with french fries (im a pascatarian but im tryin to make a point here :-] ) the trans fat might have a little somthin to do with it too. it all depends how its cooks---mcdonalds fries are fried (or were fried) in beef tallow and hydrogenated oils, which gave them a tasty and distinct taste
hope i helped<33

What's bad for the body is good for the soul! It's only unhealthy from a certain perspective.

Fatty, sugary and MSG perhaps? Even without MSG or sugar, you can have plenty of addictive food like throw in some aspartame...

Its the fats. The human body needs them to function properly. Also fat has 12x more energy then lean meat. So in cold climates or at war those who ate fat tended to live longer and bred more.
