The Big Bang. I have too many questions about it--like, if the entire universe had once been a single point, where did that point come from? Why was it there? What was the reason behind it exploding outward, thus creating the universe? Why wasn't it just a universe--how were the planets and stars and black holes created?

Evolution is a fact and I understand it completely. But the Big Bang has a lot more mysteries behind it, making it hard for me to comprehend as easily.

However, I do believe both happened, even if I think that the Big Bang is SLIGHTLY less likely than evolution.

Since when do the big bang and evolution go hand in hand? If one is not true, that in no way, means the other is untrue too.

Btw, in regards to the "where did the first point come from?" question. It is hypothesized that if time and space were created in the big bang then causality before that, doesnt apply, Therefore the laws of physics we observe do not come into play. Not to mention the weird things that happen when you put relativity with quantum mechanics.

Both Theories are supported by a large body of evidence. But the Big Bang theory probably has the most room for major refinements. Note I say *refinement*, not overturning. For example, Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity was a refinement of Issac Newton's Theory of Universal Gravitation. It in no way overturned Newton's Theory, yet it caused a revolutionary change in our understanding of the universe and gravity. I expect something like this is possible with the Big Bang, but much less likely with Evolution.

I disagree with evolution, but I see the Hot Big Bang as true.

Most disagree with the Evolution theory. As even now people belive this to be true when so many years have gone by and nothing has happened. Human's are still Human's

Evolution of species is an indisputable fact with theoretical mechanisms- big bang is a theory, albeit a very plausible one supported by valid evidence. Big Bang has the major drawback however that science can't yet prove conclusively that the universe had a starting point- that awaits advances in quantum theory.

They go hand in hand. First there was the big bang then throughout time, evolution takes place.

I disagree with pointless speculation and arguing. It doesn't change the facts whatever they may be. Even a thought about creating can be a form of evolution. Our interpretations are flawed without factual evidence, especially presence.

Well... I don't really disagree with either of them.

I just find the Big Bang a bit harder to understand, but I'm doing my best to read up on it.

The only people who reject the Big Bang or evolution are the uneducated, mentally retarded, or the religious.

But I repeat myself.
