I dont know if i have a condtion called keratosis pilaris or not. Its a condtion when i have bumps on arms and neck. In the book, it says i have to exfoliat my neck and arms twice a week? When will it go away if i do this?

i have small bumps on the back of my arms which i believe is the same as what you have. I usually use bath and body works "in the mood for scrub" and it works great! use that then apply lotion after you shower and for the most part they'll be gone a day or two.

(just do this about 3 times a week)

My dermatologist told me to use a lotion called Amlactin cream!! You do not have to have a prescription for it, but u have to ask the pharmacist for it!! They keep it behind the counter. It cost like $10!! My derma. says it takes a while to go away, you have to be patient. I have been using the lotion for 3 weeks now and i can see a difference, but it is not gone yet!!

Check out http://www.helpforkp.com/ and talk to a dermatologist to see if you have this "condition". I have it and just deal with it. It's part of just being yourself and dealing with the fact that you have bumps... It's not contagous and it's not life threatening.
