My grandpa smoked a pipe (I LOVE that smell). One of my great grandmas dipped, or so I've been told. They said she could "spit further than any man in the county".

My Grandpa smoked a pipe - my Grandma smoked cigarettes for 30 years - she's 85 years old now - no problems resulting from it.

My grandpa did the pipe. I was too little to care about that.

My Dad dipped snuff. Absolutely filthy thng. Spit all over my sink, all over my bathroom wall. Used empty veggie cans as small spittoons in the living room. Awful!

When we were kids, no one wanted to be the unlucky kid who had to sit behind Dad as he drove. He always spit out the window, wind brought that yuck right back into the car.

SPLAT! Right in the face!
