I read the Bible nearly everyday. Not the entire thing each day, but I'll pick a chapter or Book and study it during my quiet-time, and meditate on it through out the day. I carry a compact version around with me for in between classes and before work. I grew up reading the Bible or having my folks read it to me. I don't tend to read it in order, as in cover to cover, but I read each book (Romans, Luke..) in order. I'm not sure if I read the Old Testament first but I think understanding it is vital to grasping the importance of the New Testament. The Bible was the first book I ever read for myself, and Lord willing it will be the one I read before I die. I sometimes read the Bible randomly, like I'll have a part of a verse stuck in my head or a word (like love, or courage) and I'll go look it up and read from there. This kind of scatterbrained method works really well for me.
God Bless!

I read the Old Testament without translation several times. I find it moving. I find the work of Issaiah particularly impressive, and the plight of Jeremiah ironic in a modern context. I did read it in order.
I read the New Testament once and out of order. I read it in Arabic. I liked the book of James. Paul's epistles did not make sense to me in the least.
The bible is not such a large book, and is actually smaller than the last HArry Potter book. If you read 5 chapters a day (about 3 pages on average) you'll end up reading the bible about every 6 months.

I grew up in a Christian home, my grand mother read the Bible and taught us verses from the Bible everyday. My first memory verse was John 3:16 which is my favourite even today. I believe it sums up everything who and what God is. I believe I was about 4 - 5 when it was locked into my memory. Then Psalms 23 and 91. My family did not divide the Bible the whole is the word of God and it was and still has been applied to my life on an every day basis. Now that I am an adult seeking God early in the morning, at night and subconsciously and consciously God is an active part of my daily life.

When I first read the bible is after God delivered me from a 1 yr breakdown, and I was still confused and asked God lots of questions in prayer. God led me to the bible and that is when I had recommitted to God. His Truth sets me free. And I read the bible. And I attended bible studies.
A breakdown happens when someone has made too many mistakes and believe things incorrectly. I read the Old Testament first. But I grew up in church, so knew of Jesus already.

Hundreds of times probably. It is never far from me. I was never more than a lukewarm Christian until i was about 30. I read it, in one ear and out the other until then.
Read the NT first. I would suggest John. Judging from other people on here, reading the OT is a stumbling block if you do not read the NT first.

I read the New Testament first.
The book of 1 Thessalonians. The 4th. chapter. This was the First Chapter I read. Loved the 16th. through the 18th. verses.
