That's done only in your Hollywood movies.
You guys were johnny-come-lately's in World War Two, got your butts kicked in Korea, (Why are you having such problems with North Korea at the moment?) really got your butts kicked in Vietnam, and now are getting your butts kicked again by involving yourselves in a civil war in Iraq, (no disrespect to the US troops there, but what can one do if your 'Commander-in-Chief' is a total half-wit?) and you want to 'conquer the world'?
You may be able to 'destroy' the world, but 'conquer' it?
