Could you be more specific? I don't understand what you mean. If you're talking about training, contact a service dog training center and they can give you advice. If you mean when approaching someone's guide dog then you should leave the dog alone unless you have asked permission to greet the dog. These dogs need to focus on keeping their owners safe, not on someone who just wants to pet the pretty doggy. If you do have permission, please ask the owner how they would prefer the dog be handled. Some have specific ways they would prefer the dog be petted and some things that they would really rather you not do to their dogs for training reasons, safety reasons, or just because the dog doesn't like it.

If you meet a service dog who is working do not approach or pet it without first asking the owner. Working dogs are doing just that. That are only allowed to truly socialize once the owner has given the "release" command.

You should ignore it and you shouldn't pet or talk to the dog without the person's permission. You have to remember that the dog is supposed to be doing a job, and you don't want to distract it.

You have to ignore them they are working, applies to all assistance dogs. Only ever pet the dog if you have permission to do so by their owner.

Ignore it. It's not like you haven't seen a dog before.
