i own a repair shop,and they might have left a vacuum line loose on it there's so many located in the dash area for the heater assembly,that it would be hard not to leave one off,but id take it back to the person or shop that done it,they are responsible for seeing that its done right ,good luck,i hope this help,s.

I've had such a problem myself and yes it was a vacuum leak, if it's under the dash and you are limber enough to check it out yourself then it just might be a simple thing as putting a line back on its connecting point or having a splice made on it. but if you take it to a mechanic or repair shop it's good to know as much as possible so that you don't get shafted, you are doing the right thing just by asking the question, so I think so myself.

A vacuum line was left unhooked.... there are 3 or more under the dash to run vacuum actuators, I bet they left one unhooked.

the above could be true , also a bit of air in the system could give that sound when your circulation increases , vacuum tends to drop off under acceleration
