We were on the speaker-phone.We are thin & she is thin but she wants to lose weight off her stomach. She is doing 8 minute abs & wanted to lose 2 jeans sizes. I said I thought that was possible bc she had smaller hips than a stomach & she could do it. I said the only way I could lose the jeans sizes is if I lost weight off my butt but she could do it bc she has samller hips. Its hard to explain. She & her boyfriend called me.He kept saing how mean I was. I said why & my friend thought I said she has a big gut & it was impossible for her to lose the weight! I had no idea what she was talking about. I said sorry and I take it back but then I thot she heard be wrong bc of the speakersphone. I tried to explain & her bf kept accusing me. I would nvr tell her shes fat.Its mean & she is not fat. They think I was making up the story & I am not.I said sorry but her bf kept making her more mad at me when she started to forgive me.What do I do? I didnt mean to hurt her its just a misunderstanding.

ok...first of all I think you need to talk to your friend one on one. JUST the two of you, because her boyfriend is the one causing all the problems. then tell her everything you said, and don't leave anything out. you need to clear it up and don't say your sorry because that makes it sound like you DID say that. you don't have anything to be sorry for because you didn't say anything wrong. anyway, when you talk to her, make sure her boyfriend is no where near there. he's an instigator, and just makes the situation worse. good luck, and hope this helps :-)

If I were you I would call the boyfriend and ask him what that was all about. He sounds like he is out to split you 2 up as friends. Find out why.

Sounds to me like her boyfriend is a real jerk and he may be jealous of your friendship. You need to speak to her away from him because your friend must have some type of low self esteem for her to let him make it seem as though you criticized her weight. He really sounds like a instigating jerk!

you could have a talk with your friend and her boyfriend together and try to work out the misunderstanding...I am sure you didn't mean to hurt her what so ever! good luck!
