I myself am a cancer patient, and have undergone chemotherapy (finished 2 months ago as well), and just finished five weeks of radiation. From what i have learned, chemotherapy stops working after you finish it, where as radiation continues to attack the cells for 1-2 weeks after you finish radiation. So i do not think that this is related to the chemotherapy. My eyelashes, eyebrows, etc have started growing back. Granted, different drugs affect differently. I would perhaps bring this up with your oncologist and ask them. And it is true, radiation only affects the area radiated, and would not cause the hairloss or thinning if it is not in that area.

I do not know what causes this but here is my experience. When my hair returned after 8 sessions of chemo , it did not return as thick as prior to chemo. Six weeks of radiation did not seem to make any difference in anyway. I finally started taking a supplement for hair, skin and nails that contains coQ10 and N.A.C. ultra-high levels of biotin , soluble organic silicon and M.S.M. After taking this for about 12 weeks I can see an improvement in the thickness of my hair as well as growing faster. It is put out by Procaps Laboratories http://www.procapslabs.com/PCL/Pages/Products/PCLProductDetail.aspx?pid=268435869 You can also find something similar in a health store or pharmacy. I tried the liquid form from a health store but found it difficult to drink without covering the taste up with something strong like cranberry juice and it still tasted terrible.

It can take a long time for hair to come back in a recognizable fashion. My head hair took close to a year to start feeling like human, not doll, hair. My eyelashes are much shorter & sparser, too. The upside is that almost all other body hair came back in very small amounts - no arm hair to speak of, leg hair in a strip about an inch wide and 5 inches long, etc. We all react differnently to the chemo - give it some time. It may take several months to get a feel for what will be your post-chemo hair norm.

It relies upon on the chemo which you're taking. Adriomycin and Cytoxin (spelling?) additionally standard as A/C could reason hair loss in some people. people oftentimes basically get 4 doses of that drug. i assume in case you're very gentle approximately your hair which you would be able to easily watch and spot what happens. some peoples hair basically thins out...others lose it thoroughly. in case you would be on Taxol or Taxotere then you definately will probably lose your eyebrows and eye lashes yet no longer your hair. i became into on AC for 4 cures and Taxol for 2 weeks then switched to Taxotere that's genuinely comparable to Taxol for the different 2 weeks. My hair began growing to be back mutually as on the Taxol/Taxotere yet I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes. As for the A/C I took administration of the situation and had a Buzz celebration the place I enable all of my pals and kinfolk take turns shaving my hair....and that i enjoyed the way I appeared in hats to no longer point out the liberty of no longer having to restoration my hair in many circumstances happening.Your buddy may well be captivated along with her very own hair and think of which you would be able to experience an identical way. do no longer supply your self that greater stress. people will rather admire your potential in case you take care of this small stuff comfortably. enable me help you be attentive to from journey, the greater valuable you're then the greater valuable you will experience for the time of this. i became into clinically determined August of final year at 26. point 2B, Invasive ductal. the good circumstances are nonetheless yet to return. you would be high-quality!!

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://tr.im/gSh4Y
While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.
