A 1/3 of a Snickers bar is not dangerous!

My gosh...dogs, believe it or not, are NOT going to drop dead from eating chocolate.

According to the First Aid Companion for cats and dogs, it shouldnt be a problem.Milk chocolate usually isn't a problem, it would take about 2 lb of milk chocolate to poison a 7 lb pet. He might have an upset stomach or a little diarrhea, but i doubt he will even have that.

flush the chocolate out of its system with water. Eating chocolate is bad even if it was just a little. Take her to a vet and write down any abnormal behaviors on a piece of paper so it helps the vet. Good Luck:)

My large dog did the same thing but ate a Hershey's bar. I called the Vet and they said for her size she would have to eat a lot more to make her sick but to keep an eye on her for any behavior changes. Yours should be fine but keep and eye on her...

I would try to make her vomit because a lab. has one of the most sensitive stomachs of all dogs and since shes half lab. Or i would have her try to drink lots of water and jsut watch her. Or u can jsut have her vomit as a precaution. It sounds mean but that could be the only way.

Chocolate is toxic to dogs! (And to cats also.) They can't metabolize the theobromine in it - too much can even kill them.

However, your dog is pretty big, and she did not have that much chocolate... still, I'd definitely call the vet and ask what they think, and also monitor her closely and immediately take her in if there's ANYTHING weird - lethargy, breathing problems, anything.

I always thought that a little chocolate is healthy it is packed with antioxidants and natural chemicals that make people (and dogs) happy a little is good for them i give my dog a little once in a while and she loves it so unless she is allergic dont worry about it.

luv lots

That amount of chocolate shouldn't be dangerous. Just watch your dog and if her conditiion should get worse or even not better than now, please call the vet.

I would just keep an eye on her, she hasn't eaten a vast amount of chocolate so she will probably be OK.
