Jesus said THIS generation would be wicked? Wow...missed that in every Bible study I've ever participated in. But I'm not a revisionist evangelical who "reinterpreted" a couple of books of the Bible for self grandisement. Instead, I'm an Orthodox Christian who believes that Christ chose the apostles for a purpose and that they were to teach us what he taught them. To that end, the answer is clearly in the Bible and no raptures or tribulations are taught by the apostles. They're manmade teachings of the last 200 years.
If you doubt that, consider what the apostles themselves wrote:
Acts 1:6-8 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"
He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

In the late 1800's, many people were convinced it was the end of times according to Deuteronomy. They repented and gave away all their earthly possessions.
Imagine the surprise they had.
Times are very good for the majority of the world except when zealots try to force their views and religious beliefs onto others.

No one does know. The Bible predicted fires, earthquakes, and all types of things that are happening today still. A lot of the things that are against God's plan are happew\ning today and but they were happening back then too. In my opinion, we live in the cruddiest of societies. And I think that God should be done with us. I'm Catholic, and I'm against premarital sex, abbortion, birth-control pills, all this hate and violence, so on so on. How many of it isn't happening??? God is a nice guy, we're lucky he's got patience and love. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the future holds for us...

First of all the name Jesus is always capitalized. Second, these are all things foretold that will come to past. Let us pray.
Amen.
