I think your ok til your cover note comes through - if you get pulled just tell them you just bought the car

As long as the car has a valid MOT certificate, and a valid and displayed tax disk then as long as u r telling the truth that ur car is insured but docs in post then its perfectly legal to drive as u will get 7 days to produce ur docs, u must show ur valid tax disk on screen as it is an instant nick, none of this tax in post as u can get ur car taxed easily in same day.

If u listen to the person who said that she had her number to give to police, she is talking about her policy no and if she uses her car on road insured or not she will get nicked for no tax, u dont use car untill all 3 have been done.

Just get the policy number and name of the company, if it makes you feel better. It's not an offence to drive without your cover note or certificate. It's only an offence to drive without insurance, and you say you have.

If you get pulled over and get a ticket to produce your documents, and you haven't got it yet, just phone the insurance company, and they'll put a hurry-up on it. It happened to me once, no problem.

As you're on a UK site I take it you're in the UK, and I understand your question even if others don't!

I'm afraid your car may not legally be on the public highway (and that includes parked at the side of the road) without valid tax, a valid MoT if it requires one, and valid insurance. DON'T, as someone has already pointed out to you, keep your documents in the car - that's a gift to a thief!

You purchased a car with "now tax"? Do you mean it doesn't have the current tabs(the month and yr stickers)? You could try driving, but be aware, if you do get pulled over, they are likely to ticket you for no proof of insurance, and no tabs, I guess.

If you listen too the answer's here and do what they are suggesting then, you will if caught get yourself arrested for driving a vehicle while not having a valid tax disc displayed,
if you do drive the vehicle while not having any valid tax will also make your car insurance invalid. having said that do you have a valid driving licence for you will need one of these as well.

you prefer the log e book or a minimum of the V5b to get tax on the submit place of work as tax varieties are actually not any extra obtainable and the guidelines have been replaced to end unregistered vehicles getting tax. i'd attempt on line like others have stated,, as your info are placed into the device extremely rapid and would possibly artwork. If not, attempt returned day after today. the respond as you asked isn't any, all information could be unique

When you purchase automobile insurance, your agent or broker should issue you a temporary liability insurance card which is valid for 30 days. The policy and permanent liability cards should follow within that period of time. If you did not get any liability slips please contact your insurance carrier immediately and get some. This is your proof of insurance.
