of course, it's a communal effort and responsibility and there are so many legal strides to take in adopting children, not only in the usa but in all parts of the world. when there are so many 'legal parental figures' thwarting efforts of americans to adopt their own.
its not that easy. our current system doesnt make it easy. in the end...the kids grow up waiting around for a time for adoption by sitting in the legal system. and someone is making money by 'baby sitting' them in the meantime. Its all about money. :(

I came from a broken home myself. My parents divorced when I was 4. Yes, I had problems, but everyone does. I just decided at an early age not to make the mistake my parents did (they married after knowing each other only a few months). Both of my parents love me very much, and never used me as a tool against one another. I am using what happened to me as a tool to not do the same thing myself. I got to know my husband before we got married and had kids. We've been together over 9 years now, and have been married almost 7. We have 1 daughter and our son is due any time now. Just because my parents split doesn't mean I can't be a strong person.

Their is nothing wrong with a single parent raising their children.
I am a divorced mom of 2 and one on the way. The dad IS NOT IN THEIR LIFE.... If chose Meth not a family. I work and make a good living. I support them with no help from the government. I dont feel they need 2 as long as they have 1 good one.
I have taken in children that CPS has taken for a short time. I loved it but broke my heart to know when they left my home they were going back to the same bad situation they were brought to me from....

Are you adopting any of them? If not, aren't you part of the problem?
People will adopt from wherever they can adopt. Frequently that "broken" home is a far, far better one than the intact and extremely dysfunctional one that it used to be. And all children, everywhere, deserve good homes, proper hygiene, medical care, educations, etc. Don't discriminate either.

It is much easier and less expensive to adopt from outside the U.S. Besides SOME families want to adopt children from their ancestors native home...My aunt and uncle adopted two Greek children, can you guess where my Maternal grandparents came from? LOL

People go outside the US to adopt because it is easier and cheaper to adopt that way.
