My daughter's tat that she has on her lower back is very ridgey and lumpy. The tattoo artist that put it on was very aggressive according to my daughter, and was pressing hard during the procedure. She has other tat's that are smooth. When she got some of the other's, she asked the tat guy about the ridgey/lumpy one, and he said the artist put far too much ink in and it would always be that way. She also doesn't have any problems with it, just the lumpy feel. It looks great though!

I wouldn't worry about it. You could just have a bit of scar tissue build up. Could also be some ingrown hairs or an insect bite. Get medical attention if you think you have anything really wrong. You migfht also try your local tattoo shop and see if they can answer any questions for you. And yes, I have had some pimple type things in my tatts. Turns out it was a mosquito bite. Not serious, just annoying. Good luck:)

you'll be fine. It happens when the tattoo artist puts too much ink and they put too much pressure on the area. I have a tattoo on my shoulder like that also. it looks great but it's a bit raised and a little bumpy. You would never know it was raised until you touch it.
