He seems to go out of his way to do this, and I've seen Cesar Millan tell people not to allow it on his show.. but he never says why.. so.. can anyone tell me why?

Sometimes it means the dog is trying to be dominant over you. I think mine do it because my feet are warmer than the floor. ;)

Dogs are instinctually pack animals, so its obvious you are one of the dogs, according to your pooch. A simple, calm 'no' command could teach them not to do this, but only if it's all the time and they don't obey your commands. otherwise, they are just showing affection and want your attention to that. it could be worse than this lions singing roar! lol

Dogs are pack animals....in a pack, they lay on, over and around each other.
As there are no other animals around, you and your family have become his pack....hence the reason you get step/sat on!

Theres nothing wrong with it. My two dogs do it all the time. Im not sure why its just one of those weird things dogs do. But theres definatelt nothing wrong with it

a dogs natural instinct. Your a member of his "pack" now, and he doesnt want you to go anywhere without him, if you do then he'll know.

he probably is just showing how much he loves you. if its annoying, train hinm not to do it, but if you just want to know why, i don't think there's anything wrong with it.

he likes you . simple as that. he wants to play a game you should put on some shoes or good slippers and play with him its a great fun game .
