your parents are right on your life in a great way..being strict..its really simple why they are strict..they have seen many happenings in their life as they are growing up just like you.they saw many girls getting pregnant..guys always say i love you just to get your attention or attract you to his world of puppy love..puppy love is a very short honest love..just like you love pizza then later you want beef steak for dinner..guys and girls will eventually will get tired then some one will get hurt..at your age honestly hearing the phrase "i want to break up". will be so painful to handle..i was once like that long ago..thats why when i saw your add about your parents.i want to say your parents are of course are correct on being strict.plus, helping you not to feel pain in your LIFE...love can be very painful it is not a pleasant feeling to be involve...take care and i hope you listen to your parents.......good luck in your future

Make a bet with your parents...." If I can date and have a boyfriend when I'm 16, I'll make sure that he meets you and you approve of him..." Or you could just tell them that you think you're mature enough to handle having a boyfriend and that they have to trust you enough to know that you won't be a skank when it comes to dating a guy...

I don't blame your parents. being 23 years old, I'm already keeping eyes on my 16 years old sister who live in other state like a hawk. I'm always ready to tear any guys who dare to set eyes on her up.

Ok, that's silly. I would say, in this case, just do it behind their backs. I would normally say just listen to your parents, but that's unacceptably overprotective, making you wait until you move out.

calmly explain your situation, think of all the questions they might ask and come up with answers before hand. then state your case. BE PREPARED!
