Yes. Any food (including sugar) will turn into fat if you eat more calories than you burn.

Unfortunately, yes and that's why so many people got fat, buying low-fat foods because they are loaded with sugar instead. HOWEVER, I have a really great suggestion for you about candy. If you really love candy, find a diabetic store, or your local pharmacy, and ask for candy for diabetics. It's sweetened with Splenda and it tastes great. I buy a small bag of it for a treat once in a while. PS. on food labels, look how much sugar is in it and figure it out 15gr = 1 TBSP, so if something has 30, 45gr. sugar, you are eating 1-3 Tbsps. of sugar in EVERY SERVING. Would you go to the sugar bowl and eat 1-3 Tbsps??

It's the CALORIES you have to count, not the sugar. So yes--eat enough of ANY food and you will gain weight. If you want to lose weight, eat about 1300 calories a day. To maontain weight, a medium active woman needs about 1600 calories a day.

Yes...fat-free does not mean no calorie. In fact, many fat free products are higher in calories than "regular" products. Calories are what make you gain weight. A nutritionist once told me..'it doesn't matter if you eat 5000 calories of strawberries(fat free) or 5000 calories of ice cream you will still gain weight unless you can burn 5000 calories in exercise....highly unlikely for most of us.

No. Sugar doesn't make you fat unless you eat it like crazy. Eat it in moderation and do what you can to burn it off. It won't make you gain too much weight to alter your appearance.
