Absolutely nothing. They are all the same but are in different shapes and can be eaten with different sauces.

Seems to me that macaroni & spaghetti are extruded,,, the noodles are rolled out flat there are like a hundered shapes.. the dough recipe should be the same except for the flour used,, There is a book with many recipes of colored pasta..??

Macaroni (elbow pasta) and spaghetti are all pastas- they just have different shapes and textures for the sauces.

macaroni are th elittle elbow shaped ones, spaghetti is long and thin, both are types of noodles or pasta.
