Treatments Of Acne Scars
Acne scars leave their mark not only on the skin but also on the persons' psyche. With rapid developments in dermatology, treating acne scars is becoming easier. Consult your dermatologist about the best treatment for your acne scars. The choice will depend upon your medical history, the type of scar and the treatments available for that type of scarring. Some treatments are cheaper but may not give the best results. The choice therefore also depends on your budget and the kind of results you desire. Read below for the kinds of treatments available for acne scars.
Dermabrasion:
This is considered one of the most effective treatments for acne scars. In this procedure, the doctor uses a local anesthetic or freezes the skin and then uses a high-speed rotary abrader to remove unwanted surface skin. As the skin heals, it shows a brighter appearance. This procedure may remove superficial scars totally and reduce deeper scars.
Chemical Peeling:
Depending on the scar, the doctor applies a mild chemical peel on the affected skin. This slowly peels away the old skin and fresh skin surfaces. Mild scars can be treated with chemical peels.
Laser Therapy:
Different lasers are used by the doctors to give a new shape to the scarred skin by recontouring the scars. The high burst of laser may make the skin red for some time.
Soft Tissue Filling:
Collagen, which may be bovine in source or the patients' own, may be injected below the scar to lift the skin and give it a smooth appearance. As the injected collagen gets absorbed in the body over a period, further treatments may be needed after about six months. Similarly fat may be injected below deep scars for giving a skin lift. Similar to collagen filling, fat injections may need to be repeated after some months. Your doctor will advise you about that.
Skin Surgery:
Skin may have to be surgically corrected with grafting or other procedures to remove some scars.
Microdermabrasion:
In this procedure. very tiny aluminum oxide crystals are passed through a vacuum tube to scrape the surface of the skin. This procedure may have to be repeated many times. It gives a fresh look to the skin by scraping. Very mild scarring can be treated with microdermabrasion.
Note:
For people who have the tendency to form keloids, no surgical method can be used. If one develops keloid with acne injury, more keloids will be formed by further surgery. Steroid injections may be used to treat keloids. In some cases, topical retinoic acid is applied directly on the keloids. more-

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Acne is a pernicious and upsetting condition, and most sufferers long for the day when their skin is clear of it. But many acne patients achieve clear skin only to find themselves left with a disappointing aftermath - acne scars. While many scars will fade significantly with time, most patients will want to begin enjoying their improved skin immediately. Thankfully, there is great makeup for acne scars available that can balance the appearance of your skin, giving you the bright and clear complexion that you have waited so long to achieve. There is a wide variety of specialist makeup for acne scars available, but many people will find that ordinary makeup, applied correctly, will do the job just as well.
If you have had a history of bad skin, it is always wise to select light, non-greasy make up products - there are a huge variety of foundations and powders available for sensitive skins, and many medicated varieties, should you feel your skin still needs a little extra help in keeping clear. Remember that your scars will lighten as time passes, but if dark scars are making you feel particularly self-conscious then there is a good selection of speciality make up for acne scars available that can also be used to cover other types of scars and birthmarks. If you would like some first hand tips on minimising the appearance of your scars, then treat yourself to a makeover at one of your local drug stores make up counters. The professionals will show you how to use their products to best compliment your own skin.
If you feel that using makeup for your acne scars is simply not enough, then there are ways of getting rid of acne scars. Dermabrasion is a popular treatment among former acne sufferers, and can help reduce the appearance of pitted scars significantly. The procedure involves the light scraping of the top most layer of skin, and while it can be effective, the process will initially result in skin that appears very raw. Skin needs especially delicate treatment after this procedure and most doctors will advise against even the use of camouflage makeup after dermabrasion. This can be upsetting for many patients who have already spent too much time with bad skin, so before signing up for the procedure be sure that is worth the possibility of getting rid of your acne scars. Make up for acne scars can be just as effective.

Scars meen the skin has been displaced by massive pore infection (Bad Acne) Either, you can use creams and moisturuzers to lessen the appearence, and push the skin (plump) or have plastic surgery to graft new skin onto the scared area... Fonsdation is kinda a joke... You cant cover your problem, u'll still feel bad when the fondations gone.

I have that same problem. most of whats on my skin is marks and scars not actually zits. i use biore products and that seems to work pretty good to lighten it. but overall it seems that it just takes a lot of time for them to fade.
