Faith is filth and religion is a sewer.

At best, faith is wishful thinking.

Faith is not an emotion. Faith is a learned calculated proactive reaction to something that hasn't happened yet. If faith would be classified as anything it would be a decision. GOD requires a decision.

Shalom.

Faith is not an emotion. Faith is a belief that something is or will be, but can not exist without hope. It is for the most part used to express a religious thought or desire. As a simple example... In hope that a light will come on, through faith you flip a switch. By the same token, in the hope of eternal life in Heaven, through faith I believe in God, the ressurection and prayer.

Faith can be an emotion just like love can be.
Both of those become truly meaningful though when they are based in action and not emotion, which is very changeable.
I prefer to think of both love and faith as verbs-- something to be put into action and not so much talked about. Walk the talk, if you will.

Faith is not an emotion. It's a belief. Faith can most certainly cause emotions, but they are different for different people.
Think of love. It's not en emotion, but an intangible thing that causes a large range of emotions.

dear child of God,
that emotion you are feeling is The Holy Ghost which lives within you. Yes Faith is an emotion, but it is because of Gods grace that we "feel" emotion. This, in turn, enables us ( Gods children), to "do the right thing".
you may find it an interesting note to find that even peoples with severe disabilities; blindness, deafness, conjoined twins, have a power faith, that cannot be shaken. God be with you.

Faith isn't an emotion, it's belief

Faith is not an emotion, either you have it or you don't. An emotion is sad, angry, happy, depressed. It is not like people go around saying "I am feeling very faith today."

Faith is something not seen, but hoped for. This may generate emotion, but isn't emotion in itself.

No it is given by Father God to those who want to believe. And yet faith can stir in us, the deepest emotions and love.

Faith is an emotion. But God is not requiring us to feel it. God is asking us.God lets us make our own decisions. So you can do as he asks and have faith or you can just ignore he's request and not.
