Yes, but not in the sense that I thought about not believing in God. Instead I kind of assessed my life and my beliefs, I didn't doubt my faith but instead looked more deeply at it. I had a philosophy class and began looking at why I believe what I believe, and started asking a lot of why type questions. It was actually one of the coolest periods of my life because the more I pondered the concepts of my faith I became even more acutely aware of Gods existence and of His love for me. I came out of last semester stronger and even more on fire for God than when I began that Philosophy class!

God Bless!

I have never doubted the existence of God because a very powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit a few months after believing the gospel. It was too awesome for me to have any doubts again on that point.

However, I have not been very obedient at many times, and as I didn't understand the whole gospel message due to laziness reading the bible, felt very condemned. That is wrong thinking though, as christians look like Christ to God due to the imputation of His righteousness to us. It took me years and years to realise that.

Also I didn't realise that Satan actually tries to put thoughts into people's minds - condemnation etc, so I was being played by Satan, and questioning if I was really saved quite often.

I have not made a great deal of progress towards being a loving person etc, this has made me doubt. However, once again I have realised from the parable of the Sower, and discussions with christians, that one has to press in in various suggested ways to make progress. In my case I got preoccupied with anxieties and neglected reading the Word.

I did read the Koran once, as muslims are very convinced of their beliefs and I wanted to find out why. I found it did give me a real high, although some of the harsh passages (Jezebel rage against unbelievers), laughably incorrect comprehension of the Holy Spirit and minimization of Jesus' significance put me off. I was highly perplexed by the lifting effect on my emotions, which the bible only at times gives, which bothered me quite a lot. It took me years before I realised that the beautiful poetry and flattering tone had been manipulating my emotions very pleasingly.

Just the fact that you're questioning your faith says that you have it. For- one can have the faith of a mustard seed to move mountains. If you didn't have faith, you wouldn't care that you did or not. Just make sure you put your faith in the right thing. Read your Bible, follow the scriptures...One strengthens their faith through Word and Sacrament..-the Means of Grace.

I did when my father died - I found no support from the Bible or Church. I turned to Buddhism which told me how we all suffer and that the cause of suffering is attachment.

I have since grown up and turned back to Christ (and keeping my Lent Holy - so far). Religion is too difficult and abstract to truly understand at a young age. Life and its dramas prepare us more fully to accept what we want to believe.

I am a Christian preacher, writer and Evangelist and I have on several occasions.
It was usually just prior to a break through in the building of my faith.

I've questioned whether or not I should be learning about God, but never questioned if God existed, although I do think quite frequently about how a person's relationship with God should be. The answer usually ends in love.
