Witchcraft only works on those who believe in it. It's called the power of suggestion. If you believe that someone can put a spell on you - - - then they can.
Nobody, the best witch in the world can put a spell on me because I'm 100 % non-superstitious.
Nope, I don't agree that it's the work of the devil - - - there is no such thing as a devil. It's just foolish superstition.

First of all, you Christians are the only ones who believe in your devil. Atheists and Pagans don't believe in him.
Secondly, witchcraft is basically just folk magic, there's nothing demonic about it. It's been practiced in even culture and in every religion around the world.
Back in the Dark Ages you Christians would kill mid-wives who you thought were doing "the work of the devil" because they used their knowledge of herbs to help ease the pain of childbirth.

Atheists tend not to believe in the Devil...so why would they believe witchcraft was the work of something they don't believe in?
I don't have any proof as to whether or not witchcraft exists. Same goes for God.
How do I explain it? It can't be explained, just like your inability to use the spell-checker cannot be explained either.

Atheists don't believe in the devil.
I'm an Agnostic, and I feel the same way about witchcraft as I do about Christianity, really. It's a religion. I don't follow it, but I respect the rights of those who do, provided they respect mine.

Why would someone who doesn't believe in God believe that something is the work of the Devil?
My cute and cuddly atheist laughs at my Witchcraft practice, and we disagree wildly on religion and are glad kids won't be an issue, if that helps.
Decent question, but awful phrasing.

Why would an atheist think witchcraft is the work of the "devil"? They don't believe in your devil.
They think all religious nonsense is just that... Religious nonsense...
You might want to address your Q to "Christians".
You'll get a lot more "Amen, brother"s, which I think is what you are aiming for...
