I saw a movie "David and Goliath" that stared Orson Wells. About the only thing it got right was that David killed Goliath with a sling.

For errors it had lightning killing the women who was going to be David's wife, the jews in control of Jerusalem, and the Temple was build, and Saul killed his leading General. Just to name a few.

The TV movie Noah and the Ark had the flood destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.

I though the Passion was such a great movie, but not the most unrealistic movie. I wish they would not have had the curtain tear in an earthquake, I think it it lost a lot of its punch.

The Bible in general is inaccurate. It was written by man and man is imperfect so the Bible is imperfect. It doesn't really matter because there is no one still alive to say what happened one way or the other. They have only recently found artifacts that showed that the David and Goliath story really happened. Other than that it's just hearsay.

The Ten Commandments

His birth was so closely parralled with that of Jesus in the gospel of Matthew that it made scolars claim that the author of Matthew was copying the birth of Moses. Although Moses did escape a large scale infanticide, an occasional practice to keep populations of feared enimies down, there was no star proclaiming his birth. It had nothing to do with the fear of a deliverer.

Moses never went out among his people as a slave himself. He was not exciled from Egypt for being a deliverer or for treason. He fled so not to be executed as a murderer.

Some movies are obviously not meant to be literally accurate such as , "Jesus Christ Superstar," or "The Meaning of Life."

A few years back (3 maybe) there was a biblical story that combined many parts of the Bible that did not actually take place at the same time. It combined Sodom and Gomorrah with a ton of other occurrences that were actually hundreds of years apart and not related. That was the worst!!!

Passion of the Christ.

Jesus is described as having skin of bronze and hair of wool in the Bible but that movie still had Him as an anglo! They were ALL of middle eastern descent. But like ALL movies about Jesus it was a false portrayal and Mel Gibson said it was "an accurate depiction".

Cecile B. Demille's Ten Commandments, starring Charlton Heston (Moses) and Yul Brynner (Rhameses). One of the most accurate movies depicting the life of Moses and the Exodus ever made.

I'd say "The Last Temptation Of Christ" unless you consider a movie like "Godspell", although that musical was going for an abstract emotional experience not literal accuracy.
