A euro sham, also called a continental sham or euro square, is a 26" square sham and is generally used for decorative purposes.

A euro sham for a pillow is a large square type cover for a pillow normally for a bed. Today, most companies that manufacture comforter sets, include euro shams. What you do is place the euro sham in front of regular sleeping pillows, then in front of euro sham you place your regular sham. It looks very luxurious almost like a room in a bed and breakfast place in Europe.

Probably not. It is hard to find Euro shams that fit Euro pillows. Is it a set? If it is then it better fit or else the company made a big screw up. I would try to find some different shams or smaller euro pillows.

A Euro sham is square vs. rectangular and is for a Euro shaped pillow.

A sham is a cover to protect your pillow. It goes on first then your pillow case.

euro shams refer to a size of pillow sham that is square (not elongated like your bed pillow shape) and is generally a standard size. i'm not certain the standard size but would guess 18x18 (or 22x22?) not counting any decorative border.
